The Negotiating a Base Salary Schedule micro-credential is presented from Illinois Association of School Business Officials through the online professional development platform, Illinois ASBOnline. Practitioners who participate can use this micro-credential process as a way to demonstrate their existing competency in this area in order to showcase their skills while earning a badge for their online social networks or signatures.

Negotiating a Base Salary Schedule is a standalone micro-credential in a series of micro-credentials offered by Illinois Association of School Business Officials. The practitioner will be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of a district’s current salary schedule as it relates to the marketplace, cost to the district and teacher career salary patterns. The practitioner will confidently have the skills to negotiate “base salary” and alternatives to a traditional salary schedule as well as dual and/or elimination of salary schedules for a contract.
