ADVOCACY

As subject matter experts, we advocate for adequate funding and sound educational policy by providing guidance and consultation with all stakeholders to help ensure efficient management of the state’s limited resources.

In 3 years, Illinois ASBO will:

  • Have members that are engaged in the legislative process and can quickly, appropriately and effectively communicate on issues with legislators and stakeholders.
  • Have members that feel equipped to and supported to be able to translate state and federal policy for their local school and community.
  • Be a leading voice in the creation of education policy and actively collaborate with peer associations and other education partners.

CONNECTIONS

Illinois ASBO has a professional culture through intentional events and programming that promote inclusive engagement, accelerate learning and increase member effectiveness while fostering meaningful, trusted relationships between all members.
