Illinois ASBO is partnering with the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) to deliver online professional development! Stay relevant and keep up your license through a selection of convenient online academies, specifically identified as relevant to school business professionals.
Online academies offer the opportunity to get administrator academy credit without having to leave the district. Lasting 3 hours, plus additional pre- and post-academy work, IPA’s online academies gives busy administrators a great way to get their annual administrator academy credit. The academies will include pre-and post homework, so watch your registration for additional details.
With a practical and fresh approach, this course will use real-life discussions about the legal issues that the principal encounters on a regular basis, including: trends in the case law; updates on legislative changes; behavioral interventions and school safety; and Special Education/Section 504. By using up-to-date trends in school law, filtered through the lens of experienced school attorneys, you will walk away with a renewed clarity about your legal obligations – and the confidence to keep focused on ensuring your school's actions are legal, efficient, and effective!
IPA will deliver this ONLINE training through Zoom. To participate in the virtual workshop, you must have Internet access, a web camera, and a microphone.
