Emotions can help you and they can hurt you, but you have no say in the matter until you understand them. We enter the workforce knowing how to read, write, and report on bodies of knowledge, but too often we lack the skills to manage our emotions in the heat of the challenging problems that we face. Successful leaders use self-knowledge and emotional mastery to effectively manage their behavior and their relationships.
