Developing and Delivering High Impact Presentations - AAC #1906

When:  Nov 22, 2019 from 07:30 to 14:30 (CT)

This course is designed to improve your development and delivery of high impact presentations through persuasion, storytelling and influencer techniques.  Explore the effective use of persuasion through three components: ethos - credibility, logos - evidence and data, and pathos - emotional appeal.  Assimilate storytelling and influencer techniques to impact communication and presentation skills.  Participants will deliver a short presentation to the class, receiving feedback prior to analyzing effective presentation techniques.  Participants will develop a second short presentation and deliver it at the end of the class; they will be digitally recorded and will receive feedback to enhance their presentation skills.

Participants will develop and deliver a short presentation to the other attendees.  Attendees will evaluate the presentations using a rubric provided by the presenters; measuring the appropriate use of the techniques and strategies taught during the academy. Participants will fill out a feedback rubric to reflect on their presentation and write summary statements on each area reflecting improvements for enhanced presentation skills.
