LIFO Assessment to Grow Leadership & Communications Skills AAC #1500 - (6/13/2018)

When:  Jun 13, 2018 from 09:00 to 16:00 (CT)

Registration for this event is closed.

The course is designed to develop administrators' leadership and communication skills so they can better navigate tough school boards, lead in negotiating with unions, communicate better with community leaders, and lead their administrative teams. The Life Orientations (LIFO) survey is facilitated by accredited trainers, has been administered in over 30 countries, was developed by Dr. Stuart Atkins, and is based on the work of Erich Fromm, Carl Rogers, Peter Drucker, and Abraham Maslow. Participants will take an electronic survey in advance of the course and will receive a detailed report explaining their results during the course. The participants examine their results through the LIFO Discovery Workbook and the LIFO Bridging Workbook and work as a group to discern strengths and weaknesses and how to better manage those attributes to communicate with others in both satisfactory and unsatisfactory conditions. Participants will confirm their findings, learn to moderate and extend behaviors for better results, capitalize on behaviors to achieve success, and bridge behaviors across personalities, or learn to flex their communication styles to lead others based on the information they have learned through the survey and facilitated workbook discussions and interactions.

Registration for this event ends Monday, May 7th due to time needed to process the surveys. You will receive a separate link to take your LIFO survey after you register. Please note: If you cancel your event registration within the allowable time you will receive a refund less the cost of your completed survey instrument.
